WE NOW SHIP TO THE USA!

Can we help?

Got a question? Do give us a tinkle and holler 'what the dickens...?', drop us an email or have a peruse below to see if we've answered your query here:

Delivery

  • How much is delivery?

We ship throughout the UK, USA and zone 1. Check the sections below for your area.

UK

We wish we didn't have to charge for delivery, but these things do cost. We're also adamant that we should keep the cost of our coffee right down, rather than sneakily add in the cost of posting and then tell you we've included delivery for free - that's just not the way we do things at Cupsmith. We've tried lots of different options to get the best price and reliability and the hands down winner is good old Royal Mail and our faithful band of postmen and women all over the UK. So that's who we use, first class.  If you live locally to us, at checkout you can tick the option 'I live locally I'll pick up my order' and you won't be charged for postage.

Postage is calculated based on weight and at checkout, and charged as follows:

Up to 1kg (eg that's 4 bags of coffee or lots of tea as it's much lighter!) = £3.55

Up to 2kg = £5.50

Allow 1-2 days for your parcel to arrive, a little longer if we have to roast your coffee, make your hot chocolate etc. We like everything to be super fresh and we make everything ourselves, so it might be your order takes longer.

Live locally to the roastery? You might even find us delivering your order in our 1935 vintage Austin van. It does a top speed of 40mph and is a delight to potter around the countryside in.

US and Zone 1

If you're in the US, add our products to your basket as usual and then at checkout it will calculate the shipping rates. We send via Royal Mail International with delivery in around 4 days, and have kept the rates as low as possible.

Up to 500g = £9.10

500 - 1kg = £13.80 (that's a lot of tea you can order!)

1 - 2kg = £16.30 (hello plenty of coffee and some hot chocolate)

2kg - 30kg = £58.95 (enough tea, coffee and hot chocolate to stock a shop!)

  • When will I receive my order?

We'll send your order out as soon as we can, and by Royal Mail 1st class. We make sure everything is super fresh so if we haven't just roasted, we might have to roast your coffee or make your hot chocolate, so it can take a couple of days to be ready to go out. We aim to be as quick as we can, but we always put quality and freshness first so please don't expect us to be Amazon Prime!

Returns

  • What is your returns policy?

If you're not absolutely thrilled with your drinks, please ring us and we'll find out whether it's an issue with the product or if we can help you make a better cup by tweaking the way you're doing it. But whatever happens, rest assured we won't leave you disappointed with Cupsmith or your cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate, that's just not the way we do things here. Read more here about our returns policy or for top notch customer service email emma@cupsmith.com.

Coffee grinding

  • Can you grind my coffee beans for me?

Our pleasure. Use the drop down boxes on the page where you are ordering your coffee to specify what sort of grind you require - i.e. for cafetiere, filter etc.

Does it cost extra to have my beans ground?

Most definitely not!

Visiting Cupsmith

  • Can I visit Cupsmith?

We'd be honoured! We're based in lovely countryside just outside Farnham in Surrey and you're very welcome to come and have a cup of coffee in our roastery, where we have a small cafe area for sampling coffee, tea and hot chocolate. We're not a cafe of course, so do give us a bell to plan your visit and we'll make sure the kettle's on. Click here to read more about visiting.

Making coffee

  • What's the best way to make coffee?

Oh there are people out there who write essays about this. Yes really. But we believe in keeping things super simple and showing you how to make the best cup of coffee at home, without the need for a PhD in food science. Click here for our guide on how to make the best cuppa.

  • How many cups of coffee can I make from your bags of coffee?

Depending on how rib-stickingly strong you like your coffee, you'll get about 15 cups of coffee from each of our bags weighing 227g.
