Can we help?

Got a question? Do give us a tinkle and holler 'what the dickens...?', drop us an email or have a peruse below to see if we've answered your query here:

Delivery

  • How much is delivery?

We wish we didn't have to charge for delivery, but these things do cost. We're also adamant that we should keep the cost of our coffee right down, rather than sneakily add in the cost of posting and then tell you we've included delivery for free - that's just not the way we do things at Cupsmith. We want you to know very clearly how much you're paying for your packet of coffee, and how much for postage. So this is what we charge for your coffee to be delivered by courier to your door (prices below are per single delivery address):

Orders up to £16.50 = £3.25

Orders costing over £16.50 and up to £40 = £4.25

Orders over £50 = £6.25

Gift boxes: delivery for all gift boxes is £3.25

Letterbox coffee: we can deliver one packet of coffee to you through your letterbox and this costs £1.75 and is sent via first class Royal Mail. You'll see the 'letterbox coffee' option when you choose your coffee.

If you live locally to our roastery, you're very welcome to collect your order from us, or we can drop it off if we're passing your way. Locals, give us a tinkle.

  • When will I receive my order?

If you order before 2pm and we have your coffee freshly roasted and ready to go, we'll send it the same day by courier. If you order after 2pm we'll send it the next day. But what we'll always do is make sure we're sending you super fresh coffee so if we've run out and need to roast your coffee you might need to wait an extra day, but never more. The courier company aims to have your parcel to you within 3 working days.

Returns

  • What is your returns policy?

If you're not absolutely thrilled with your coffee, please ring us and we'll find out whether it's an issue with the beans or if we can help you make a better cup by tweaking the way you're doing it. But whatever happens, rest assured we won't leave you disappointed with Cupsmith or your cup of coffee, that's just not the way we do things here. Read more here about our returns policy or for top notch customer service email emma@cupsmith.com.

Coffee grinding

  • Can you grind my coffee beans for me?

Our pleasure. Use the drop down boxes on the page where you are ordering your coffee to specify what sort of grind you require - i.e. for cafetiere, filter etc.

Does it cost extra to have my beans ground?

Most definitely not!

Visiting Cupsmith

  • Can I visit Cupsmith?

We'd be honoured! We're based in lovely countryside just outside Farnham in Surrey and you're very welcome to come and have a cup of coffee in our roastery, where we have a small cafe area for sampling coffee. We're not a cafe of course, so do give us a bell to plan your visit and we'll make sure the kettle's on. Click here to read more about visiting.

Making coffee

  • What's the best way to make coffee?

Oh there are people out there who write essays about this. Yes really. But we believe in keeping things super simple and showing you how to make the best cup of coffee at home, without the need for a PhD in food science. Click here for our guide on how to make the best cuppa.

  • How many cups of coffee can I make from your bags of coffee?

Depending on how rib-stickingly strong you like your coffee, you'll get about 15 cups of coffee from each of our bags weighing 227g.

  • What about tea, I thought you were selling tea too?

We're going to be selling tea as soon as possible. We have developed some fantastic teas that we are very excited about and we are now in the process of having them bagged and packaged. We'll keep you updated and let you know when you can order some.

  • Can I buy drinking chocolate from Cupsmith?

Nearly! We hope to launch a brilliant hot chocolate in the next few months, slap bang in the middle of winter, warm blankets and cosy afternoons by the fire.
