Terms and conditions

Terms and conditions are a little on the literary dry side, but they are terribly important as we want you to know we have our customers' best interests at heart and that we will always do our very best to resolve issues and remain chums.

Standard terms of business

By using this website and services you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below, so please do read the following carefully before placing your order. Please also read our Privacy Statement regarding personal information provided by you.

We set out to make you very happy with our delicious coffees and we make every effort to ensure that your order arrives in the best possible condition. If for any reason you’re not absolutely satisfied with your Cupsmith order, we will either offer you an exchange or refund. Please note we trade using the brand name ‘Cupsmith’, wholly owned by Runwick Roastery Ltd.

We take payment at the time of ordering, rather than at the time of dispatch. This is to help ensure we can process your order and send it to you as soon as possible. We’re not able to accept an order until we’ve checked and approved it, and if there is a problem we’ll be in touch within three working days, unless we have specified that the business is temporarily closed for public or personal holidays etc.

Delivery policy

In general, your order will be posted the same day if ordered before 2pm or the next day if ordered after 2pm. However if we need to roast your order, it may take 48 hours longer to dispatch as the roasting process means coffee cannot be packed immediately or it will be spoiled. We will keep you informed if this is the case. All orders are sent by courier, and the courier company aims to deliver your parcel within 3 working days. If for any reason we’re unable to supply what you want, we’ll be in touch and arrange a refund.

Please note, our products don’t fit through a standard letter box, so if you’re out when the courier tries to deliver they may leave a card for you and arrange another delivery time.

Cancellations and returns

You have the right to cancel or return your order up to 7 working days following receipt of your goods. This includes your right to cancel your order under the distance selling regulations. You will receive a full refund including the original postage and packaging for the order if the charge was levied with your original order and it is returned in full. If your order has already been dispatched please refer to our returns information. We hope you are happy with any product purchased, but if you wish to return a product to us for any reason you may do so within 30 days of the dispatch date. It must be in a saleable condition and in its original undamaged packaging. We will refund the price or replace the product. Return delivery charges will only be refunded in the event of faulty, damaged or incorrect items being sent to you. This does not affect your statutory rights. Other than for defective products, returns outside the timeframe set out above may be accepted at the sole discretion of Runwick Roastery Ltd. Please contact Cupsmith by email emma@cupsmith.com or call 01252 712630 for information about returning items to us. All returned items must be sent to Runwick Roastery Ltd, Runwick Hill, Runwick Lane, Farnham, Surrey GU10 5EE, UK.

Refunds and exchanges

All refunds will be made to the debit or credit card on which the original purchase was made, within 30 days of the cancellation of the order or return of the goods. In the event that we are unable to credit your original method of payment, we will contact you to arrange an alternate method of refund. On faulty products, after the 7 day cancellation period, we reserve the right to offer a replacement item of similar or equal value.

Age policy

To purchase goods from our website you must be over eighteen years of age.
